Award Winning Arvel Bird with the One Nation Band to Release Debut CD at 57th Annual Coconino County Fair in Flagstaff, Arizona, September 1 - 4, 2006

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 22, 2006 -- Native American Music Award-winning fiddlist/flutist/storyteller, Arvel Bird (Southern Paiute/Me’tis) with his band, One Nation, will be releasing their debut CD, titled “One Nation” during their performances at the Coconino County Fair in Flagstaff, Arizona, September 1-4, 2006. The Coconino County Fair is held at Coconino County Fairgrounds, Fort Tuthill County Park. Performance times are Friday, September 1st at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2nd at 12:00 p.m.; Sunday, September 3rd at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Monday, September 4th at 1:00 p.m. The new CD will be available from the stage at each performance and at the Singing Wolf Records booth.

Bird, a classically trained violinist, attended Arizona State University on a music scholarship and has been based out of Arizona during his winter tour schedule. Bird recently won the coveted Native American Music Award for Best Instrumental Recording for his Arvel Bird LIVE! CD. His latest solo recording, Animal Totems 2, is a finalist in the Contemporary Instrumental category at the Indian Summer Music Awards. Bird performs and records in a number of diverse genres including blues, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Western swing, American roots, and contemporary Native music which gives him a continually fresh, unique sound making him one of the most in-demand Native recording artists on tour.

The One Nation Band includes the two popular former members of the contemporary Native group, Brule’, traditional Native American percussionist, John LoneEagle (Cherokee/Apache) and guitarist, Vlasis (Greek). Together they join keyboardist/vocalist Chris James (Irish), Bird’s co-writer on Animal Totems and Animal Totems 2. Arvel Bird and One Nation are currently working on their debut CD scheduled for release on the Singing Wolf Records label over Labor Day weekend at Coconino County Fair in Flagstaff, Arizona.
